Desenvolveu protocolos de manutenção abrangentes e ferramentas epidemiológicas para maximizar o sucesso a longo prazo de próteses de implante de arco completo. Criou escores de avaliação de risco clínico para previsão de doença peri-implantar e resultados desfavoráveis, permitindo estratégias preventivas baseadas em evidências durante consultas de manutenção.
Autoridade internacional em manutenção de implantes, tendo apresentado em numerosas conferências nacionais e internacionais como palestrante principal. Desenvolvedor do protocolo de manutenção MALO CLINIC integrando diretrizes clínicas com ferramentas epidemiológicas para resultados ótimos de pacientes e clínicos. Educador na MALO CLINIC Education ensinando cursos práticos de manutenção de implantes com abordagem clínica meticulosa combinando teoria com treinamento prático.
Graduado em Higiene Oral pela ISAVE (Institute of Higher Education of Alto Ave), Portugal. Mestrado em Epidemiologia pela Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, Portugal. Autor e coautor de mais de 50 artigos científicos, publicações clínicas e capítulos de livros sobre reabilitação oral, implantodontia e protocolos de manutenção de implantes. Colaborador regular de revistas internacionais revisadas por pares sobre tópicos incluindo doença peri-implantar, avaliação de risco e fatores de sucesso de implantes a longo prazo.
