Descrição

A course guide on the latest updates in digital dental radiography and endodontic navigating systems.

The second module of OHi-S Project "the school of radiology" created specially for endodontists as well as for general dentists, who are passionate about Endodontics.

Within this module you will learn how to:

– Minimize the radiation load on the patient

– Conduct and analyze 2D film and digital imaging

– Analyze CBCT when planning endodontic treatment

– Treat root canals using static and dynamic navigation

– Use CBCT for classic and retrograde root canal filling.

As a result of training, you will learn how to see hidden pathologies, obstacles or treatment opportunities, which means:

– being able to treat canals better

– assurance of long-term results of endodontic treatment

– saving of time through better diagnostics and planning.

Aula 1.2D Film radiography vs Digital radiography. Introductory lesson

– The main advantages of Digital radiology

– Evaluating radiation dose for different radiographic exams

– Comparing digital sensors: CCD (Charged couple device) vs. CMOS (Complementary metal oxide semiconductor)

– Clarke’s positioning technique for the superimposition of structures

– Errors in radiography

– Preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative dental radiology

– Root canal working length determination: understanding the anatomical structures

– Ingle’s radiographic method of working length determination.

Recommended for: Endodontists, General dentists.

Aula 2.2D Film radiography vs Digital radiography

– The main advantages of Digital radiology

– Evaluating radiation dose for different radiographic exams

– Errors in radiography

– Preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative dental radiology

– Root canal working length determination: understanding the anatomical structures

– Ingle’s radiographic method of working length determination

– Endodontic Apex Locator (EAL): the working mechanism, advantages and its interpretation

– EAL and X-ray

– Cases abd clinical tips.

Recommended for: Endodontists, General dentists.

Aula 3.CBCT in endodontics: diagnosis and treatment planning. Clinical guidelines and the ALARA principle

– Understanding differences between 2D film radiography vs digital radiography
