Mais de 40 anos de experiência clínica e acadêmica em ortodontia contemporânea combinando biomecânica tradicional com fluxos de trabalho digitais e sistemas de ancoragem esquelética. Diretor do Programa de Mestrado em Ortodontia na Universidad de Santiago de Compostela desde 1996, treinando especialistas de toda a Europa e América Latina. Criador e desenvolvedor da técnica ortodôntica Straight Wire Low Friction em colaboração com Rocky Mountain Orthodontics (Denver, CO). Diretor do Centro Internacional de Ortodontia em Santiago de Compostela.
Palestrante internacional ministrando cursos sobre microimplantes, MARPE (expansão rápida do palato assistida por microparafusos), alinhadores e sistemas de tratamento híbridos pela Europa e América Latina. Consultor científico e clínico para o Governo Espanhol, Governo da Galícia, Conselho Dentário Espanhol e Fundação Dentária Espanhola. Membro do conselho editorial de cinco revistas internacionais dentárias e ortodônticas.
MD pela Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (1983). DDS (Estomatologia) pela Universidade de Oviedo, Espanha (1985). Membro da European Orthodontic Society (EOS), Sociedade Espanhola de Ortodontia (SEDO), World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO), International College of Dentists, Pierre Fauchard Academy, e membro fundador de múltiplas sociedades ortodônticas espanholas (ONO, AESOR). Mais de 20 anos de experiência clínica em ortodontia usando várias técnicas de tratamento incluindo filosofia edgewise Tweed-Merrifield, terapia MEAW, e sistemas de aparelhos fixos contemporâneos. Conhecido por abordagem diagnóstica sistemática e mecânica precisa para correção de má oclusão complexa incluindo controle de dimensão vertical, correção de mordida profunda e gestão de mordida aberta.
