Over 48 years of clinical and academic experience in endodontics since graduating in 1975. Received DMD degree and specialty certificate in Endodontics from Hebrew University and Hadassah Faculty of Dental Medicine, Jerusalem, Israel. Practiced endodontics in Israel for 9 years before moving to Canada. Appointed Associate Professor and Head of Endodontics at University of Toronto (1992), establishing Canada's first and only graduate endodontics program (1993). Promoted to Full Professor (1996). Maintains private practice limited to endodontics in Toronto alongside academic appointments.

International authority on treatment outcomes, prognosis factors, and evidence-based decision-making in endodontics. Research focus on endodontic healing and survival rates, minimally invasive access cavities, contracted endodontic cavity designs, intentional replantation, autogenous transplantation, and internal bleaching. Published landmark systematic reviews establishing evidence-based standards for endodontic success criteria. Served on Scientific Advisory Board of Sonendo Inc.

DMD from Hebrew University, Jerusalem (1975). Certificate in Endodontics from Hebrew University (1983). Published over 145 peer-reviewed scientific articles in leading endodontic journals including Journal of Endodontics, International Endodontic Journal, and Oral Surgery Oral Medicine Oral Pathology. Grossman Award (2008) for significant research contributions to endodontology; W.W.
