En los paciente con genética de clase II o clase III usamos la redirección del crecimiento como medida terapéutica, la clave del éxito en estos casos es determinar correctamente en que etapa de la curva de crecimiento se encuentra, para eso usamos la radiografía carpal.
Los análisis más utilizados son: Tanner and Whitehouse, Fishman method, Greulich and Pyle.
La evaluación de mano y muñeca es el mas confiable de los indicadores de maduración osea, específicamente evaluamos los estadios epifisiarios las placas terminales epifisiarias de las falanges. Es mejor intervenir cuando el paciente tiene la mayor velocidad de crecimiento.
