En ortodoncia los conceptos de discrepancia anterior y discrepanciaposterior deben observarse con detenimiento cuando se evalúa un caso clínico, especialmente un caso de maloclusión de clase III.
Se le suele dar más importancia a la discrepancia anterior por sus implicancias estéticas, sin embargo la discrepancia posterior repercute en gran medida en el desarrollo de la mayoría de las maloclusiones de clase III.
En esta lección discutiremos ampliamente sobre la discrepancia posterior, como es que se forma y porque debe tomarse en cuenta en la planificación de tratamiento.
Proponemos la técnica MEAW en la resolución de esta maloclusión para poder camuflar correctamente la clase III esquelética.
