Aula 1.Aesthetic rehabilitation after dental trauma. Part 1

1. Crown fracture:
– The technique of successful shallow pulpotomy and bonding the fractured fragment to the original tooth with composite are discussed minutely;

2. Crown-root fracture:
– Orthodontic extrusion versus surgical extrusion;

3. Root fracture:
– Treatment planning and healing modalities in root fracture,
– The wound healing,
– The efficacy of diagnosis using CBCT;

4.Subluxation:
– Pulp healing during puberty,
– Bleaching technique of discolored crowns of endodontically treated teeth;

5. Lateral luxation:
– The importance of on-site diagnosis and repositioning is discussed;

6. Intrusion:
– Treatment planning of intrusive luxation will be discussed according to the IADT guideline,
– The differentiation between intrusive luxation and lateral luxation;

Dr. Tsukiboshi is a graduate of Osaka University School of Dentistry in 1976. He earned a PhD in dental materials from Kyoto University in 1980 and has been engaged in private practice since 1981. Dr. Tsukiboshi’s interest in dental traumatology and autotransplantation has led to extensive clinical involvement, course presentations and publications. Dr. Tsukiboshi has lectured extensively on dental trauma and autotransplantation; he has authored many articles and two textbooks, one on dental trauma in 1998 and one on autotransplantation in 2000. The books have been published in several languages, including English. Dr. Tsukiboshi is a visiting lecturer at Osaka University and Loma Linda University since 1998 and is the President of the International Association of Dental Traumatology in 2009 and 2010. Dr. Tsukiboshi is certified as an adjunctive assistant professor of Western university in USA in 2012 and a clinical professor of the dental school of Tohoku University from 2015-2018.

DDS, maintains a full-time private practice in Tokyo, Japan. He is the founder and director of the society of Japan Clinical Dentistry.

The author of «Esthetic-Restorative Treatment: Management for the Complex Prosthesis».

 

Dr. Hirata is Assistant Professor of Biomaterials and Biomimetics Department at New York University (NYU),
working with research on implant and restorative biomaterials.

Also, he keeps private practice in Curitiba, Brazil, working with Esthetic Dentistry.

He is coordinator of several post grad programs with focus on Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry in Brazil, lecturing about Esthetic Restorations in many countries.

He finished his DDS in Federal University of Parana/Brazil in 1995, the MSc in Biomaterials in Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul/Brazil in 2002, and his PhD in Restorative Dentistry in Rio de Janeiro State University, in 2009.

Dr. Hirata have published papers in Journals, more than 10 chapters, and two textbooks. One named “TIPS in esthetic dentistry” in 2011, being translated to 3 languages already; and a new on named “SHORTCUTS in Esthetic Dentistry” from Quintessence Publisher, translated to 3 languages as well.
