Mais de 47 anos de experiência clínica em tratamento ortodôntico abrangente desde graduação em 1979. Especialista em filosofia ortodôntica TMJ-first enfatizando diagnóstico e tratamento de disfunção da articulação temporomandibular antes e durante tratamento ortodôntico, aplicações de filosofia Roth em ortodontia japonesa, protocolos de oclusão funcional e tratamento interdisciplinar combinando ortodontia com odontologia restauradora. Conhecido por abordagens sistemáticas a alcançar resultados estáveis e funcionais abordando distúrbios ATM e relações oclusais. Mantém segundo consultório ortodôntico em Asakusa, Tóquio (Ikeda Orthodontics, estabelecido 1981), gerenciado por sua esposa Dr. Isayo Ikeda que também é dentista especializando-se em prótese e ortodontia.
