DMD pela Universidade de Kentucky (1974). Provost's Distinguished Service Professor. Recebedor do Prêmio Grande Professor da Universidade de Kentucky, Prêmio Acorn do Estado de Kentucky, Prêmio Dentista Internacional do Ano da Academia Internacional de Odontologia, e introduzido no Hall de Exalunos Distinguidos da Universidade de Kentucky.
