Professor de Fisiologia Oral e Gnatologia Clínica especializado em distúrbios temporomandibulares e bruxismo. Professor Titular no Departamento de Biotecnologias Médicas, Universidade de Siena, Itália, desde 2017.
Mais de 25 anos de experiência clínica e de pesquisa em diagnóstico e tratamento de DTM. Anteriormente atuou como Professor Assistente e coordenador de projetos de pesquisa na Clínica de DTM, Departamento de Cirurgia Maxilofacial, Universidade de Pádua (2006-2016). Reconhecido internacionalmente como uma das principais autoridades em pesquisa e manejo do bruxismo.
Palestrante internacional tendo ensinado em mais de 50 grandes conferências em todo o mundo. Editor do livro didático "Conceitos Atuais sobre Distúrbios Temporomandibulares" (Quintessence Publishing, 2010), com contribuições de 45 especialistas mundialmente renomados.
DDS pela Universidade de Pisa, Itália. PhD em Odontologia pela ACTA Amsterdam (2011), tese intitulada "O Triângulo: Bruxismo, Dor e Fatores Psicossociais" sob supervisão do Professor Frank Lobbezoo. Especialização em Ortodontia pela Universidade de Ferrara (2017). Diplomata do Conselho Americano de Dor Orofacial (2021). Autor de mais de 300 publicações em revistas indexadas no Medline com índice H Scopus de 40. Membro ativo da Academia Europeia de Dor e Disfunção Orofacial (EAOPD).
