- Biological feasibility of applying various pulp treatment techniques
- Selective caries removal (Indirect pulp treatment – IPT)
- Stepwise excavation - indirect pulp treatment alternative
- Direct pulp capping (DPC)
- Pulpotomy
- A systematic review and meta-analysis of pulp treatment for primary and young permanent teeth (research by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD)).

Aula 2.Treatment of vital primary and young permanent teeth with pulp exposure and reversible pulp inflammation: partial and cervical pulpotomy

- Calcium hydroxide and other biocompatible materials used in pulpotomy.
- Cvek pulpotomy. Treatment of accidental pulp exposures and asymptomatic young permanent teeth with carious pulp exposure.
- Cervical pulpotomy.

Aula 3.Neoplasms in pediatric dentistry

Clinical protocols for diagnosis and treatment:

- Orofacial infection
- Oral ulceration,
- Epulides
- Neoplasm’s in children
- Periodontal disease
- The premature loss of primary teeth
- Gingival enlargements
- Vascular lesions
- Pathology in the newborn.

Although much oral pathology in children is benign, it is essential to eliminate more serious illnesses. The presentation of pathology in children often differs from that seen in adults and the subtleties of these differences are often important in diagnosis. Additionally, many lesions change in form or extent with growth of the body. While some disorders are confined to the mouth, oral lesions may often be a sign of a systemic medical disorder. The same disease may present in a multitude of ways but equally, one presentation may be representative of many different disorders. These presentations will focus on an approach to the diagnosis and management of common, and some uncommon soft tissue lesions in children. As a diagnostic aid, conditions have been grouped according to presentation.

Aula 4.Management of dental anomalies in children

- Clinical treatment protocols:

       - Supernumerary teeth
       - Missing teeth
       - Disorders of size and shape of teeth
       - Enamel and dentine anomalies (hypoplasia, hypopmineralisation and amelogenesis imperfecta)

- An interdisciplinary approach in the treatment of dental anomalies in children (involvement of clinicians in other disciplines and the development of long-term treatment planning)

The multidisciplinary approach to the management of common dental anomalies is essential. This presentation will attempt to highlight the broad range of dental defects that occur at different stages of tooth development. This approach will serve as an aid to diagnosis but further, will allow the formulation of a treatment plan that is appropriate for a child at any age when they present with a particular anomaly. Many of the conditions that will be shown are uncommon and management is often anecdotal, however, a sound understanding of the basic pathological mechanisms underlies our ability to treat these conditions. This presentation will focus on the management of supernumerary and missing teeth, disorders of size and shape, enamel and dentine anomalies such as hypoplasia, hypopmineralisation and amelogenesis imperfecta.

Aula 5.Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation – current treatment difficulties

- Treatment of Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation
- Therapeutic MIH-concept based on the individual examination of the defective structured molars.

Restoration of teeth suffering from molar incisor hypomineralisation (MIH) is problematic due to both micro morphological changes of tooth hard tissues and pain history of respective children. A new MIH Treatment Need Index (TNI MIH) supports the adequate treatment of the defective structured molars.

Aula 6.Dental Traumatology in Pediatric dentistry

- Diagnostics of  the different types of injuries.
- The therapeutic concept based on the type of trauma in primary and permanent dentition.

Until the age of 14 every second child had the experience with dental traumatology. In the daily dental practice that are cases of emergency.

Aula 7.New zirconia crowns in pediatric dentistry

- Using zirconia crowns as an alternative treatment for primary teeth and treatment of molar hypomineralization
- Cementation procedure of Zirconia Crowns
- Bioactive materials for pulpotomy
- Materials for pulpotherapy of  immature permanent teeth
- The latest materials for the treatment of molar incisor hypomineralization
- Analysis of clinical cases of hypomineralization
- Enamel infiltration

Aula 8.Early Childhood Caries: from consultation to rehabilitation in conditions of general anesthesia

- Actual approaches to counseling in the age group of patients up to 3 years
- Anti-objection methods
- Primary and alternative treatment approaches: advantages and disadvantages
- Treatment planning in the context of general anesthesia, key aspects of success and a long-term prognosis

Today, more and more children under the age of 3 years have caries. In the work of a pediatric dentist we can say that these are the most “difficult” patients. And there are a number of reasons for this:

- Carious is very extensive and the restoration of such defects requires a high level of manual skills from the doctor
- Aggressive tooth decay with caries does not leave time for long thoughts - while parents go through the stage of reflection, very often we lose our teeth
- A child under 3 years of age can rarely realize the need for intervention in their teeth and agree with such patients without the help of an anesthesiologist in most cases is impossible
- Parents give us a whole kaleidoscope of reactions when consulting and treating such patients, and in some situations their position plays a dominant role in the pathogenesis of caries
