Descrição

Same-day implant dentistry requires precise diagnosis, careful case selection, surgical control, and close integration between implant placement and prosthetic treatment.

This clinically focused course presents a structured approach to immediate implant treatment, with particular emphasis on the aesthetic zone, immediate loading protocols, and the coordination of surgical, prosthetic, and laboratory procedures. Participants will explore how to assess the post-extraction socket, determine when immediate implantation and loading are appropriate, manage hard-tissue deficiencies, and plan the prosthetic restoration from the beginning of treatment.

During the course, you will explore:

– Clinical assessment and decision-making for immediate implant placement, including socket anatomy, healing tissues, risk factors, and patient selection
– Immediate implant placement in the aesthetic zone, including surgical protocols, piezosurgery, bone augmentation, and implant positioning
– Immediate non-occlusal and occlusal loading: indications, clinical protocols, and key factors affecting predictability
– Immediate full-arch implant placement and occlusal loading protocols
– Implant prosthetic treatment: clinical and laboratory guidelines for predictable immediate restorations
– Digital impressions and integration of surgical, prosthetic, and laboratory workflows for same-day treatment.

Aula 1.Immediate Implantation in the Aesthetic Zone: Clinical Protocols, Risk Assessment and Decision-Making

– Requirements for immediate implant placement in the post-extraction socket
– Assessment of socket anatomy and healing tissues following tooth extraction
– Classification of post-extraction alveolar ridge defects according to Cawood and Howell
– Ideal clinical conditions and patient selection for immediate implantation
– Bone grafting techniques and management of peri-implant hard-tissue deficiencies
– Immediate implant placement protocol in the aesthetic zone: implant positioning, primary stability and soft tissue management
– Peri-implant bone loss: aetiology, risk factors, prevention and management
– Analysis of clinical cases and decision-making in immediate implant placement.

Aula 2.Immediate Implantation in the Aesthetic Zone: From Surgical Planning to Same-Day Provisionalization

– Piezosurgery protocols for immediate implant placement
– Bone augmentation techniques in the aesthetic zone
– Digital protocols for immediate implant cases
– Step-by-step demonstration of immediate implant placement in the aesthetic zone
– Same-day dentistry: delivery of the immediate prosthetic restoration.

Aula 3.Immediate non-occlusal and occlusal loading

– Immediate non-occlusal loading (INOL):

- benefits
- INOL restorations
- inclusion/exclusion criteria
- Angled implants: indications
- Screw-retained provisional crowns
- Immediate occlusal loading (IOL)
- Treatment planning for patients with periodontal diseases
- Fixed solutions for edentulous patients
- All-on-4 protocol: literature review
- Laboratory and surgical collaboration, appointment sequencing, and identifying the required implant components to have on hand for each protocol and procedure
- Specific diets, oral hygiene and maintenance procedures for each loading protocol.

Aula 4.Immediate full-arch occlusal loading

– Identify patients who warrant this type of treatment including long-term edentulous patients, patients with chronic moderate/severe periodontitis and patients with severe caries
– Advantages of immediate occlusal loading including function, aesthetics, improved self-image and self-confidence
– Anatomic and radiographic findings that clinicians need to know prior to treatment planning full-arch treatments
– Treatment options for severe periodontitis
– Full-arch immediate occlusal loading concept overwiev
– Fixed solutions for edentulous patients
– Indications and contraindications for immediate occlusal loading
– All-on-4 protocol.

Aula 5.Implant prosthetic: сlinical and laboratory guidelines

– Troubleshoot problems associated with long-term, full-arch, implant prostheses.

– Implant prosthetic complications:

- stripped screws
- denture base
- fractured frameworks
- Requirements for optimal implant framework design
- Generic prosthetiс options: fixed, removable (rigin), removable (non-rigin)
- Bar design considerations
- Fixed milled titanium frameworks
- I Beam design, L Beam design.
