Many dental treatments do not fail because of the restoration, orthodontic movement, or prosthetic design itself — they fail because the functional system supporting these treatments was not fully diagnosed or managed.
This seminar with Dr. Dan Andrei Iacob presents occlusion as a dynamic biological system, where the temporomandibular joint, neuromuscular balance, and dental structures interact continuously to determine stability, function, and long-term treatment success.
From comprehensive patient assessment and radiological diagnosis to centric relation registration and splint therapy, participants will learn how to transform complex concepts of occlusion and TMD into predictable, evidence-based clinical protocols.
During the seminar, you will learn:
— How TMJ anatomy, morphology, and function influence occlusal stability and the predictability of dental treatments
— A systematic approach to occlusal diagnosis, including the clinical significance of centric relation and centric occlusion
— How to recognize clinical signs of occlusal instability and identify patients at risk of functional complications
— Principles of achieving TMJ orthopaedic stability and its role in comprehensive dental rehabilitation
— The connection between functional occlusion, orthodontic treatment, and restorative dentistry
— Modern diagnostic protocols for TMD assessment using CBCT and MRI
— Indications, selection criteria, and clinical application of TMJ stabilization splints.
IMPORTANT: the “Seminar. Standard”, “Seminar + Demonstration. VIP” and “Hands-on workshop” participation options are also available for purchase.
Advantages of the “Seminar. Comfort” participation option:
