– Classification of crestal defects, mechanisms of bone resorption, review of the literature
– Scientific background and presentation of the different types of cortical sheets and indications for the use of the different types of sheets depending on the clinical situation
– Step-by-step surgical technique: from planning, to the type of incision, to the mobilization of the buccal and lingual flaps
– Suturing techniques to achieve primary closure
– Treatment of horizontal defects, vertical defects and combined (3D)
– Growth factors and fibrin glue

Mais de 35 anos de experiência clínica e acadêmica em periodontia regenerativa e implantodontia. Estabeleceu prática na Itália em 1993 após completar posições de pesquisa e ensino nos Estados Unidos. Especialista no manejo de defeitos intraósseos, lesões de furca e cobertura de recessão usando técnicas de regeneração tecidual guiada e biomateriais. Reconhecido internacionalmente como um dos líderes mundiais no campo da regeneração óssea.
Membro fundador e Vice-Presidente da Bone Biomaterials and Beyond Academy, promovendo abordagens baseadas em evidências para regeneração periodontal e óssea. Professor no programa de Mestrado em Periodontia na Sapienza University of Rome desde 2000. Professor no programa de Mestrado em Implantodontia e Prótese na University of Pisa desde 2010. Coordenador do Curso de Pós-Graduação em Cirurgia Periodontal e de Implantes na University of Padua (1995-1996). Palestrante internacional ministrando cursos sobre regeneração óssea, GTR e cirurgia periodontal mundialmente.
