Creating an Esthetic Pathway

 

During this 27-hour 3-day course, participants will learn how to prepare anterior teeth for ceramic veneers crowns using a digitally designed aesthetic prototype technique.  Tissue management, provisionalization, digital scanning, design, and veneer delivery will be covered, with each participant delivering two ceramic veneers, which will be adhesively delivered during the hands-on sessions.

– Step-by-step Protocol
– Shade matching
– Digital Smile Design
– Diagnostic wax-ups, putty guides, and the esthetic mock-up

– Veneer Preparation designs – facial, incisal butt, and lingual wrap
– Super Veneers, 3/4 Crowns, and All-Ceramic Crowns
– What margin/finish line to use in each situation
– Sophisticated veneer provisionals – blueprints for success
– Complex situations – rotated teeth, discolored teeth
– Try-in pastes
– Using resin cements of various shades
– How to select the best cement for the proper indication
– Intaglio surface preparation techniques to improve adhesion
– The Stevenson Stain prevention technique
– Polishing systems
– Occlusal adjustment for chewing pathways.

– Learn how to create an ideal mock-up and realistic esthetic buy-in

– How to properly prepare a tooth for a veneer

– How to minimize ceramic fractures by understanding the materials and occlusion
– How to finish and polish ceramics with high luster and gloss.

DDS. Dr. Yadav is a graduate of Manipal University, India and completed the rigorous 2-year Advanced Clinical Training Program at UCLA under under Dr. Stevenson in 2017. He is an expert in dental photography and is the chief faculty of the waxing courses held at SDS. He has been teaching courses alongside Dr. Stevenson for two years at UOP Dental School, and at the SDS Learning Center. He was voted as the best tutor by students last year and has a calm and down to earth teaching style. His clinical interests include advanced prosthodontics, esthetic dentistry and cast and direct gold restorations. He has been invited to lecture in India and continues to provide invaluable assistance with CAAPID applications and consultations via our Application Coach service. He practices general dentistry in Porterville, CA and teaches at SDS on the weekends and evenings.
 
DDS. Dr. Stevenson is a general dentist specializing in occlusion, esthetics, and gold restorations. He is widely regarded as the dentist’s dentist. Dr. Stevenson is the inventor of several dental instruments which benefit dental students and practitioners in their quest for excellence. Dr. Stevenson is also a talented and inspiring dental educator who mentors and teaches dentists worldwide through study clubs, publications, lectures, CE courses, and YouTube. As a result of his passion for providing excellent oral health care to the masses, he founded Stevenson Dental Foundation(SDF) to address oral health disparities.
