An advanced hands-on workshop on the management of complication in soft tissue plastic surgery by the legendary Giovanni Zucchelli! You will experience theory, live surgery demonstrations, and hands-on skills training.
During the course, you will learn:
– Advanced soft tissue management techniques around implants
– Mucogingival approach to implant removal in cases of peri-implantitis
– Peri-implant papilla reconstruction
– Treatment of complications in soft tissue management:
- Flap perforation
- Flap dehiscence
- Scar formation
- Graft exposure
- Gingival recession at the palatal root after harvesting technique.
The knowledge gained from the theoretical part and live demonstrations will be practiced on pig jaws at a fully equipped training center!

Graduado pela University of Bologna (1988) e concedido PhD em Biotecnologia Médica pela mesma universidade (1999). Nomeado Professor de Periodontia na University of Bologna em 2000, mantendo esta posição continuamente por mais de 25 anos. Pioneiro e inovador de múltiplas técnicas cirúrgicas para reconstrução de tecido mole incluindo Retalho Coronalmente Avançado Modificado, técnica de Plataforma de Tecido Conectivo e protocolos para reconstrução de papila.
Autoridade internacional em cirurgia estética mucogengival tendo lecionado e realizado demonstrações cirúrgicas ao vivo em grandes conferências mundialmente. Vencedor de prestigiosos prêmios de pesquisa: AAP Foundation-E Bud Tarrson Research Award in Oral Plastic Surgery (2006, 2008), European Federation of Periodontology Clinical Research Prize (2006) e AAP Foundation Lilly Research Award for Clinical Research (2003). Publicou mais de 130 artigos científicos em revistas internacionais revisadas por pares com extenso registro de citações. Pesquisador mais citado sobre procedimentos de cobertura de recessão globalmente.

Membro ativo da European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP), Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO) e European Federation of Periodontology (EFP). Membro do Conselho Editorial do International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, Journal of Clinical Periodontology e Journal of Periodontology. Autor do bestseller internacional "Mucogingival Esthetic Surgery" (Quintessence, 2012), traduzido para 12 idiomas e reconhecido como a referência definitiva em cirurgia plástica periodontal.
